I had to cry this morning.
Jeremiah 31:9 Tears of joy will stream down their faces, and I will lead them home with great care…
In the past few weeks alone Juliette, Bonnie Blue (now Hattie), Beowulf, Jake, Jolene and Trina Paws have gone to their truly incredible forever families. Nugget – who is staying with us for the weekend – is thriving despite multiple surgeries on the same leg. Murphy is living his best life in Pennsylvania. Lydia and Elwood continue their bonding as they were adopted by the same sweet family. Beautiful white cat Snowstorm (now Winny) is ruling her roost in Michigan. Seven of Nine (now Jolene) the Mama donkey is joyfully romping in Olmsted with Annie Cow and Tart. Then there’s Jubilee with her flyball loving family.. Muppet (now Biscuit) with my dear friend and co-worker… Sasa the incredibly handsome sweet pitbull loved by all his family… Sally Mae formerly our Little Bit all dressed up for each holiday … Hannah Cat dearly loved by Allie … Buttercup and Boomer brother and sister adopted separately but both to awesome families with kids to play with… Nadia (Penny) and Bella with the Pastor and his beautiful family… Oh the goodness of God. My phone is FULL of awesome amazing pictures of these precious pets in their new homes with their destined families. Haven’s horses are being loved and ridden by dedicated volunteers. God has truly blessed Haven’s residents by bringing these incredible caring families into their lives. The Lord’s blessing and the kindness, support and generosity of our Board of Directors, volunteers and donors as well as the incredible staff of the Christian County Animal Shelter Mansfield Animal Hospital and Todd County Animal Clinic .
So God bless you… Every one.
Please continue to pray for us that we can continue our efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, re-home and care for our residents. Our need for funding is never ending… And for volunteers. Even as we waved goodbye to our last adopters we received a message about a young beautiful stray pit mix with a high heartworm positive test (wait until y’all see her ears!!) Our youngest male donkey is facing extensive surgery. The monthly expenses of caring for an average of 28 dogs, cats, horses and donkeys are impressive. Please consider donating if possible, as every penny helps. You can donate through this website or you can look us up on Venmo!
