I cried all night last night. Got a phone call late in the evening. Short version … waiting on a call to go pick up a good dog that neither we nor Haven can afford. I couldn’t sleep…wrote this. My heart is in pieces. They say he’s young, maybe a year or so. I think his name will be… Good Dog…

I was a good dog when this kind stranger and the volunteer at LBL looked me over for injuries… They didn’t even know if I was a boy or a girl first…

I was a good dog as I spent the night with strangers in a strange place, waiting until tomorrow when I go to a stranger place, an animal sanctuary

Thankfully the LBL volunteer (an old friend of mine) pledged some funds to help at least get him vetted. We’ll never adopt our way out, we’ll never be able to do enough. Because of people like this. Everyday we get multiple calls… There’s just not enough… Please 🙏 for all shelters and rescues… Pray for the animals. For the good dogs (cats, horses etc) in the world …
