This beautiful emaciated English pointer has been running around a wooded area just south of our farm. I finally caught her and she’s been taken to the vet she has a long road medically ahead of her.
She’s at least 20 lb under weight, she has cellulitis, she is heartworm positive, and we pulled well over a hundred ticks off her and we are waiting for the tick panel to come back, praying it’s negative. In addition she has some weakness in her hips and right rear leg AND 2 tumors. The vet estimates her age at about 7 and she is sweet as she can be… She just laid down and let me pull ticks off her for 3 hours!!!
Just her vet assessment with all the panels and things we had to do and her medications she’s a rather expensive stray and we haven’t even tackled her heartworm treatment or the joint problems. I named her Promise because I promised God that if he let me catch her I would help her.
I don’t often do this in a blog but we have some hefty expenses coming up this month with our horse being so ill and her and the other animals …so if you are able to donate any amount please please click donate and help us help these beautiful animals. She deserves the chance to live the rest of her life comfortable and happy.
