Well so much has been happening lately that we are behind in sharing to the website! Haven was right in the thick of the intense thunderstorms, tornadoes and historic flooding in Kentucky and it has been devastating for our community. Well over 13 in of rain fell from Wednesday afternoon until Monday morning! Some areas received over 17 in by Sunday night! We are profoundly grateful to God that our animals are safe and no major damage has occurred to our home or barns. Our farm is on a very high hill thankfully. We were however cut off completely from Thursday until Monday afternoon because the roadways accessing Haven were completely flooded over. The only way to reach us would have been by boat or airdrop! The water was up to 4 ft deep in some spots! Some are roadways are still closed with high water any many roadways are damaged; some have partially collapsed. Praying for the resources and volunteers to help with restoring the pastures & fencing. Keep us in your prayers and any donations to help with repairs would be greatly appreciated! God bless y’all!
