Precious tricolor hound Hannah Girl was emaciated, high heartworm positive, full of parasites and almost too weak to stand. The local county shelter would have had to euthanize her but her sweet gentle spirit made us all want to fight for her. We didn’t know if her body could make it, but she fought through two extensive heartworm treatments, multiple treatments for parasites and nutritional deficiencies and emerged in triumph!
It took over 2 years to get her healthy and nearly three to find her her forever family but this beautiful foxhound /coonhound mix is thriving despite the medical challenges that continue (she’s mostly blind). We are SO thankful for this beautiful military family who has stood by her and will continue to stand by her; she’s truly found the home she was meant to be in forever.
