Lilli is all healed and prettied up…. Ready for her forever home. She is a Poodle mix, about 28 lbs., under 2 years old, spayed, UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. Lilli is an incredibly sweet gentle spirit… Good with other animals. She wants nothing more than to be with her people although she does love love a good run!! (Lilli had a fairly traumatic background she was extremely emaciated and covered in urine/feces… she was whelping seven pups at the time as she was pulled off a farm breeding situation and had an active infection… she has bounced back incredibly well). Crate trained, and very good in the house no potty accidents. She is agile and fast – VERY athletic dog. Some mild separation anxiety but easily managed. No known medical issues. Will need exercise of course as most young dogs would!!
She’s a really really good girl!!! If you would like to meet and greet sweet pretty Lilli we have adoption events coming up October 19th at the Kentucky Cruizers Cruise-in Trail of Tears Park in Hopkinsville Kentucky from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Oct 26th at Pennyrile Ford Fall-O-Ween Festival in Hopkinsville Kentucky from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. (don’t miss the wiener dog races at this event 🤣) or you can message us. We are looking for a family who will commit to this girl no matter what – a true FOREVER family. If you are not looking to adopt please share!
So what’s it like to run an animal sanctuary? It’s different every day but here’s this morning.. start the morning thanking God for a beautiful day and believe we’re going to have a great day..
Got off an 8 Hour dispatch shift at 7 a.m… picked up the mail at the post office …quick stop for gas and groceries cuz I haven’t been able to do that in the past few days and I didn’t want to push the Jeep home!
Arrived back at the farm about 8 a.m. stopped at the front barn, fed Annie and Black Joy, cleaned their stall area get their water troughs skimmed.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
Into the Farmhouse we go! Get the dogs out to potty, prepare and feed for all nine of them… give Luke a special check to make sure his incision is healing well which it is …sort them into their respective feeding areas, try to convince 13 year old Glory who is struggling with dementia and her eyesight that no one else is going to get her food and go catch the traumatized Pyrenees who has to be led in everyday so she’ll eat…Prepare meds for the horses in the back Barn and fill everybody is water bowls indoors and out while they’re eating.. let them all back out…

And now to back Barn… check on Benaiah as we had to wrap his hoof last night because he was limping… he is still limping but praise God the wrap stayed on and he does seem improved so I am thankful!! Feed those four horses grain, supplements and hay… skin water troughs… clean their stall areas, lay down about four hundred pounds of bedding to cushion Ben’s foot. Dump wheelbarrows full of poop! Time for a check-in with our favorite donkeys! They’re doing great they get some hay and some scratches!
Answer texts and emails about rescues and check on animals we’ve placed and helped. Getting sleepy!

Back to the farmhouse… feed nine cats… scoop nine litter boxes… chase the puppy out of the cat food… let the two new cats out to explore… chase puppy out of the cat food (again)…
Bring those dogs in that don’t like to stay out all day inside… give everybody a check over and a bunch of love pets!!

Wash the dishes, think about eating something but opt for sleep instead… have another night shift tonight!
Stretch out into bed… spend some time in prayer … pause and listen to the sounds around me – coonhound outside, the Pyrenees snoring on the big fluffy dog bed, Black Cat purring loudly…
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
My heart swells with gratitude, thankfulness that we are able to provide and care for these beautiful creatures…sooo sleepy now!!
One last prayer thanking God for everyone who encourages and supports Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary… to all the read this I pray that you all have a happy blessed day !!!
