Enjoy😁🙌 some pictures of our beloved “Kentucky Polar Bears”🐻❄️🐻❄️, Bounce🩷 & Blitzen🩵. Sadly as they age (Bounce is likely about 10, Blitz not far behind maybe around 8+) these giant cold weather loving fluffy breeds can experience significant joint/arthritic issues. We had updated X-rays on Bounce Friday and confirmed that her hips and knees are literally disintegrating😭😭. Both she and Blitzen and having pretty severe mobility issues, with our 5 ft nothin’ Pack Momma often having to use sling lifts to help them up (at 100 & 143lbs it takes a miracle each time😳😭)… We’ve adjusted medication as much as possible as we are devoted to keeping them comfortable… But their bodies – especially Bounce’s – are failing them🥺💔💔. Please keep them in your prayers. These two gorgeous affectionate laid back gentle spirited canines have been here a long time, and Bounce is our Pack Momma’s lifeline🩷, alerting to her heart arrhythmia (she picked up on it herself, we never formally trained her for it🤯!) she’s raised all of Haven’s puppies, transitioned hundreds of trauma affected and sick dogs into family pets, provided human comfort and so much joy over the years. Blitzen, after initially destroying 😬😳🙄 part of Haven’s farmhouse from his trauma and anxiety, blossomed into the sweetest gentle giant ever, loving on every human he’s met. We’ll be sharing more of their history in the coming days and weeks as we brace 😬💔 for the reality to come. Pack Momma knows Haven was born of God’s vision but He used Bounce’s eyes and heart as the catalyst.
