This is Bounce… Aka The Princess.
She is one of the main reasons that Haven exists.
It took 12 days to catch this big white Great Pyrenees that was only able to use three legs in the North end of the county… She had torn her ACL and she has questionable hips and knees…. We repaired her ACL (and yes, since then the other one has also torn and been repaired) and brought her to the farm. She has learned to sense when my heart 💔 condition is flaring up and will lay on my feet and legs to let me know; she won’t allow me to get up until it passes.
She absolutely adores the snow, she loves to snuggle, to bark (loudly🤣) when she’s outside and will steal another dog’s bone as soon as they turn their back! She is 100+ lbs of stubborn lazy beautiful sweetness. She has raised all of Haven’s puppies, integrated new pack members and loves cats (especially Gigi). When she’s happy or playful she throws her head around and huffs. She senses and protects the young and sick intakes. She is the giant fluffy dog that I lay down and cry on when my heart is breaking for another animal that we’ve lost or is struggling. She reinforced the passion that we had for all these incredible animals that needed a place to heal and help to find their true families… and so Haven was born. Bounce is a true blessing🙏🙌. As I post this she’s snoring contentedly behind the couch🤣🤣.
She will stay with us for her days… We estimate she’s about 7-ish now and we’re believing she will be helping Haven animals and people for a long long time!!
